Developed as a university project, this smart lighting tool was created from concept design through to a final prototype.
The FocusOrb, a Pomodoro Lamp, embodies the "calm tech" philosophy - technology designed to minimise distractions and promote natural, unobtrusive interaction.
It features a Pomodoro timer with a unique, single lighting mode to help you manage work and break times effectively. During a 25-minute work session, a gentle light illuminates the space while a sphere gradually descends, subtly indicating the remaining time. When the 5-minute break begins, the light turns off and the sphere ascends back to its original position.
With its sleek design, it adds a minimalist touch to any desk, and more photos will be added soon.
